During rent

If there is a problem with the car or a traffic accident, or if I lose the vehicles documents, licence plates or keys, what do I do?

How do I prolong the rental period.

You can ether prolong your rental period in written form or personally in our offices 48 hours before your rental period ends. The price of the prolongation will be calculated by our current price list.

Can I return the vehicle to a different location than the one stated on the contract?

You can change the drop off office, however in such a case, an additional fee is charged for this service.

If I decide to go to a different country during my rental period or to travel by ferry, what do I need to do?

If you have subsequently decided to go to a different country, or use the ferry, let us know so we can activate the additional services needed for this. They will be charged during vehicle drop off.

Can I rent GPS, Wi-Fi or child seat?

In our selection of additional equipment, you can choose Wi-Fi, GPS (satellite), child seats/booster, winter tires, tire chains.
Go to your nearest FAM office. If the equipment is available you can rent it, and the charges are made according to the rental period.

How do I add an additional driver to my rental contract?

If you have decided to add an additional driver to your contract you can come to the nearest FAM office with a valid driver’s licence of the driver you want to add. The additional drivers fee is charged from the date you added the additional driver.

Can the vehicle be returned before the time stated on the contract?

You can return the vehicle before the time stated in the contract. In that case, you will pay the amount of time the vehicle was used. However, due to the difference in calculations, there can be a price change from the current situation and the situation during the reservation process.
If you reserved and paid for the reservation via one of the rental agencies, for your price deduction please contact them directly.

How can I add additional insurance packages?

If you have already have a FAM vehicle rented, and you decided to add additional insurance, please got to the nearest FAM office to change the rental terms and to have the car inspected.

In which countries can I use the rented vehicle?

All our users can drive around with a rented vehicle in all the countries of Europe, with the exception of Kosovo, Ukraine and any Country in war zone
(Austria, Albania, Andorra, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, France, Finland, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Malta, North-Macedonia)
